2003-04-21 The Company of Goldsmiths of Ireland has recently purchased a Rocking Teapot for their permanent collection. The sterling silver and gold Rocking Teapot has received numerous awards including Company of Goldsmiths Award at the RDS Craft exhibition in 2002.The Company of Goldsmiths have welcomed the purchase of the teapot for their permanent collection which spans 350 years of Irish silversmithing. As part of their millennium celebrations, Goldsmiths Company commissioned Mr. O’Dwyer to design and make the first piece of Irish silverware to be hallmarked in the 21st century.
